For the last week, I have changed my lifestyle by switching up from my intense Chicago pizza eating diet to the new healthy Paleo Diet.  So far I have noticed clear and measurable results on how I feel on a daily basis. I have listed below 5 main benefits that I attribute to cutting wheat/gluten and dairy out of my diet all together.

Heart Burn and Gas

I felt like when I was eating a lot of gluten and sweets that I would from time to time burp in public which didn’t definitely earn me points for social etiquette. It actually got quite annoying, I don’t exactly know why I shared such personal information on my blog.

Digestion

I don’t want to dig too deep into this topic but you digest food amazingly when you don’t get eat gluten and dairy. It’s almost like your stomach is turned into a machine that is synced in perfect with the rest of your body.

Moods

I noticed without gluten and dairy that my mood’s have been consistent over the last couple days. We all go through times in our life where due to external factors our moods are bouncing up and down but I feel like without gluten and dairy that I am able to control my moods a lot easier and efficiently.

Muscles

I lift weights regularly in the gym and because I am getting older (27) now I feel like my muscle’s don’t regenerate as quickly as they used to be 3 or 4 years ago. Without gluten in my diet, I feel like my muscle’s regenerate a lot quicker after I lift. I am not as sore the next day from workout’s.

Energy

I feel energetic at all times of day . It is really weird as I used to need coffee and or an energy drink so that I could work out late at night. I have no doubt by going gluten and dairy free that my energy has been affected in a positive manner.

Sleep

Last but not least, I have been sleeping amazing after giving gluten and dairy. I can’t verbally explain the phenomenon but for the last week I have fell into a deep sleep quite easily and felt amazingly refreshed in the morning.

In conclusion, I know it isn’t easy but I think it’s been worth it in my short time of being apart of the Cave Man Diet. Long term feeling destroys short-term splurging. You can also do what I did as well and just tell people you have gluten allergies just so for social proofing in public.
